World Boxing Association welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao looks to be in good shape to hold on to his title.
After a two-week camp to get in shape for the tournament, the world champion is now ready to move on to the next phase of the training, to build his stamina and muscles.
Pacquiao will be fighting to hold on to his 147-pound title, against American challenger Adrien Broner on January 19 next year at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao is a true zero-to-hero story. He started boxing at the age of 14 while living on the streets of Manila, and turned professional at 16. Currently, his record stands at 60-4 as an amateur and 60-7-2 as a professional, with 39 wins by knockout.
He was named Fighter of the Decade for the 2000s by the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA), WBC, and WBO.
Over the course of his decorated career, Pacquiao has defeated 20 world champions, including Miguel Cotto, Oscar De La Hoya, Antonio Margarito, Ricky Hatton, Juan Manuel Marquez, Marco Antonio Barrera, Eric Morales, Lehlohonolo Ledwaba, Chatchai Sasakul and Shane Mosley.
In 2015, Forbes named Pacquiao as the second highest paid athlete in the world as of 2015.
