Due to several disasters that has been going on in Indonesia for the past 6 months, the unfortunate events has taken its toll on the country’s tourism. Especially when the disasters struck to the popular places in the country. Therefore, as a result, some people are beginning to hesitate to go to Indonesia’s top travel destinations.

With the country’s tourism plunged, Indonesian Government takes a plan to boost other beautiful travel destinations known as “10 New Balis”. Here are the destinations that are included in the “10 New Balis” tourism plan:

1. Lake Toba, Sumatera Utara

According to Twitter, Lake Toba is nominated to be the top lake destination in the world. Located in North Sumatera, Lake Toba considered as the top tourist attractions there. In the middle of Lake Toba, lies Samosir Island which is a home to a couple of gorgeous lake, Lake Aek Natonang and Lake Sidihoni.

2. Tanjung Kelayang, Bangka Belitung

Showcased in a popular movie, Laskar Pelangi, this destination is the star of Bangka Belitung’s tourism. Tanjung Kelayang has a beautiful landscape that’s decorated with granite rocks and a large beach area of 324.4 hectare. The exotic beach has white sand, as well as calm and clear waters.

3. Tanjung Lesung, Banten

7. Mandalika, West Nusa Tenggara
