Tan Sri Annuar Haji Musa in his speech stated, the creative industry which includesMultimedia, Arts Culture and Heritage has become increasingly important, not onlyas a source of entertainment and cultural development, but also has great potential

to contribute to the economic growth. The Government under the 12th Malaysia

Plan (12MP) has recognised the creative industry as one of the strategic and high-
impact industries that will be given special focus.

Meanwhile, Tan Sri Annuar also stated that the Government through KKMMrecognizes the importance of the role of arts and culture for the country, not onlyfrom the economic aspect, but also from a humanitarian point of view. Therehabilitation and reconstruction of cultural arts activities will indirectly heal the soul

of the Nation and Keluarga Malaysia impacted by various challenges following the

Covid-19 pandemic. In this regard, KKMM invites the arts and culture community towork with the Ministry through the Creative Task Force to create a systematic

ecosystem so that the country’s creative industry can continue to grow, he added.

The organisation of the third edition of AITC 2021 which is also the annual event ofCENDANA has achieved significant success despite having to adapt to new norms

with the support, cooperation, and commitment of 54 partners involved.

AITC 2021 has featured various initiatives such as the Kuala Lumpur CreativeEconomy Forum, introduction of Studio C at the CIMB Hotel Art Exhibition, OpenArt Class, Corporate Tax Deduction workshop, launch of TripART collaboration,KLWKND festival, The Light Project light installation, SENSORii, NCC50Symposium and many more further development of the cultural arts industry in

order to drive the economic status of the local community.

REXKL is the location of the Sensorium of Inversion/Immersion Art Media Exhibition(SENSORii) which brings down the curtain of AITC 2021 and will run until 28December 2021. SENSORii is a digital media art exhibition featuring the artistictalents of local multimedia artists such as Lim Kok Yoong & KC Tan, Wee Jia Foong,FLUX 28 and Ashly Nandong & Azarikh Amran, accompanied by music composed

by Ahmad Muriz Che Rose.

Curated by an internationally renowned art curator, Yap Sau Bin works with thetechnical expertise led by Melissa Teoh. SENSORii reveals the reality of daily citylife in an urban context as well as inhabited places and environments and spaces

inhabited by artistic techniques and technological diversity.

CENDANA is committed to continuing to excel in initiatives to drive Malaysia’s arts andculture economy and strive to make Malaysia a regional arts and culture destination.This is particularly important in the Government’s efforts to reopen the country to touristarrivals, raising the profile of local artists and promote the talent of the industry

community.
